6 Protective Devices

Six heavily-wrapped units– the three hooked pieces support the three semicircles. The forms are based on earrings a friend owns. I was thinking of the way people use jewelry in a talismanic fashion, as if they were protective devices– that they’ve taken on gigantic form emphasizes their obsessive use.
