Facts/Descriptions; a few bars of color and a verdict

Birch plywood, textiles

Four sections with identical elements, each 4 ft. x 16 in. x 16 in.

I was interested in making repeating formalist architectural figures that were changed and altered by color choices and proximity. Formalism has a way of elevating the architectural stereotype, something that interested me conceptually. In profile, each section mirrors slanting, descending steps. It is one of the few pieces I’ve made that is suspended from the wall.
